Developed in the early 20th century by Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque, Cubism shattered traditional perspective and redefined how subjects could be seen. Objects were broken into geometric shapes, layered with multiple viewpoints, and reconstructed on canvas to reveal a deeper truth beyond realism. This movement became one of the most influential in modern art, laying the foundation for abstract expression throughout the century.
Applied to portraiture, Cubism transforms your pet into a bold composition of shapes, angles, and color planes — a striking artwork that feels both intellectual and avant-garde, echoing the revolutionary spirit of Picasso’s era.

Jon C. is an art director and contemporary artist whose practice bridges the bold colors of Pop Art with the structural experimentation of Cubism. He studied at the School of Visual Arts (New York), where he explored how popular culture could merge with avant-garde abstraction.
After graduating, Jon worked at Ogilvy New York as part of the creative team, contributing to campaigns that blended clear messaging with striking visual form. This experience strengthened his instinct for powerful imagery and the dialogue between cultural symbols and fine art.
At Jon’s Canvas, Jon C. leads the Pop Art and Cubism collections, reimagining pets through vivid palettes, playful symbolism, and dynamic geometric compositions—making each portrait both accessible and sophisticated.
